Meet Captain Marty

I’m originally from Connecticut, but Naples has been my home since 2009 when I took early retirement and moved here. I was too young to retire for good, so I pursued my passion for being on the water. I got my start working as a mate and captain in Everglades City for the National Park, where I became a Master Naturalist.

Over the years, I helped launch Eco Tours and learned everything about fishing, from Back Bay to deep-sea excursions. After working for other tour companies for over a decade, I decided to start my own business—Explore Naples by Boat—and share my love for this amazing area.

I’m passionate about providing safe, enjoyable, and memorable experiences for all my guests. I look forward to welcoming you aboard and helping you explore the beauty of Naples, Florida!

About my boat

My 24ft Carolina Skiff is docked at the Bayfront Docks, a prime location surrounded by shops and restaurants for you to enjoy before or after your tour. My boat is perfect for private charters of up to six people, offering a personalized experience that larger boats simply can’t match.

If you’re looking for something different or have a special request, I’m happy to tailor the tour to fit your needs. My boat’s flat bottom allows us to access places that other boats can’t, ensuring a unique adventure. It’s also spacious, clean, and shaded by a half bimini for your comfort. I’ll have water on board, and you’re welcome to bring your own cooler with snacks and beverages.

Explore Naples, Bayfront and Tin City

After your tour, you can enjoy the shops and restaurants right at Bayfront. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there are plenty of great dining options nearby. Just a short walk under the bridge is Tin City, another local favorite for waterfront restaurants and charming shops.
